Lambholm South graduate, Force the Pass (Speightstown - Social Queen, by Dynaformer), who was second on his debut at Gulfstream Park on Feb. 14, broke his maiden going 7 1/2 furlongs over the Gulfstream Park turf course Mar. 7, despite being bumped repeatedly at the half. Hammered down to overwhelming 4-5 favoritism in this non black-type affair, the 3yo chestnut colt kept tabs on the leaders from a two-wide fifth early and was inched into third by Rajiv Maragh after a half in :49.24. Powering past the leaders in the lane, Force the Pass kept on finding to repel a late run from High Noon Rider to win by a half-length. The final time was 1:36.11. Lifetime Record: 3-2-1-0.
